I'm an avid runner. I run to relax and I run to unwind. I love disappearing into the moment of a nice long run. I run more for myself than for the medals these days. With 3 Marathons, 25 Half-Marathons, and dozens of 5-10k events, I've whittled my annual races down to the Los Angeles Marathon in March, and OC Half-Marathon in May every year. Aside from that, I still put in hundreds of miles a year on my own and plan to grow my full/half Marathon counts. I'm planning my own sentimental solo Marathon in Orange County, traversing several areas that I frequented growing up there.
I'm the Garrison Webmaster for my local 501st Legion Garrison, the Neon City Garrison. A worldwide Star Wars costuming and charity group over 10,000 strong where I am both Kylo Ren (TFA) and a Stormtrooper.
As a diver I've gotten my PADI Advanced Open Water certification and have logged nearly 80 dives thus far. My friends and I used to dive at least once a week, but it's been a few years. Diving is amazing and I really need to get back into it now that I have access to so many beautiful dive sites in Southern California. My most recent passion project is a full size working replica of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion clock. This is an 84" tall, 107lb solid Red Oak Grandfather Clock with a glowing 13hr (12hr movement) dial. It's not just a prop, it's a real, working, Grandfather Clock. Scaled up from the Disney Parks 13hr Grandfather Clock toy to the dimensions of my parents' grandfather clock. It was a long, arduous project, but one piece at a time, it has come together beautifully. You can see the results at MansionClock.com
